  I became interested in bats once I started catching them and seeing how different and bizarre so many of them are. I just had to know what made them so different from each other. We use special thin nets called mist nets, and huge devices called harp traps to catch bats in the wild. I use a CT scanner in the lab to shoot X-rays at bat skeletons and create 3D models of them on my computer.
