  Have you ever seen a dragonfly larvae up close? It might not look like much at first glance, but they are scary. They can shoot their jaw out about half their body length to snap up fish and other bugs. Also they breath through their butt. Not much in the mud can hurt us humans (besides some nasty leaches).
