I began doing dishes and working in a food microbiology lab as a freshman in college, so I count myself as a committed scientist since 2003. 🙂 12 years! Wow.
I started working in biological anthropology in 2001, but my first jobs were usually working at horse barns in exchange for riding lessons. I also used to baby-sit once I was about 11 and even made up business cards and everything! My first paying job at a company was as a waitress at Pizza Hut. Not such a glamorous beginning!
