I have absolutely, positively, always been a pain-in-the-you-know-what because of all the questions I ask and the trouble that I get up to. I’m always exploring and asking why things are the way they are, as well as often having my nose in a book (a favorite game at slumber parties was to “Hide Lindsay’s Book”).
I think kids are the MOST curious, which is why they are some of my favorite people. Too many adults just accept things that they’re told and never try to find things out for themselves. I think it’s important to remember that we always keep reevaluating what it is that we think we know. This is the great thing about science—when you find out you were wrong about one thing, it opens a whole new world to explore. A good scientist is one that is never afraid to fail brilliantly. 🙂
