K. Lindsay Hunter answered on 16 May 2015:
The first time I came to South Africa was in 2005, and I was studying modern Zulu bones from the Raymond Dart Collection at the University of the Witwatersrand (Wits). I came back in 2013 as a member of a 6-woman expedition to excavate fossil human ancestors from Rising Star Cave. There, I met my now husband, a South African cave explorer for Wits, so now I live in South Africa. Since I already live here, I thought I might use that to my advantage for research and am now studying the interactions of local farmers and nonhuman primates like vervet monkeys and chacma baboons with Sepela Field Programs.
